Intrepica is an online resource for English literacy education. Equipping teachers and parents with a motivational learning platform for students of all ages and ability.

Students are connected in a safe, socially active environment that utilises natural competitive spirit to drive literacy achievement. Pre-reading, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, reading fluency, grammar and comprehension skills are all covered within this one resource. Students can compete against friends or anyone in the world.

There are more than 10,000 different interactive tutorials with an ever-expanding library of literacy activities and games, graded and incorporated into structured lesson plans. A comprehensive variety of exercises across multiple skill levels are designed to develop competency in the key areas.

Specially designed Diagnostic Tests provide a professional tool which can be used to determine a student’s literacy ability. Detailed information about each test outlines the purpose and methodology used. Teachers and parents have the flexibility of selecting specific tests to check students’ literacy skills. These are the same tests used to automatically generate prescribed learning schedules. Detailed results and recommendations are also available. Teachers can also access historical data to track students’ progress, enabling teachers to formulate their own lesson plans or set homework.

Learning schedules are automatically generated for each student. Progress is continually monitored by the program, with learning schedules adjusted accordingly. This ensures students receive the instruction needed to meet their current level of ability. Student achievement is recognised with the awarding of trophies, medals, badges, spendable credits, points and congratulatory messages.

It is a world-first online literacy program that has the potential to help raise the declining literacy standards of Australian students.
